In Chinese Metaphysics, Good Destiny is about Balance and Completeness. Using BA ZI as an example, a Good Destiny means a balanced number of YIN YANG and Five Elements in an individual’s BA ZI chart. Diagram 1 is a pictorial representation of a Fire person’s BA ZI chart with balanced Five Elements that is represented by Self (Fire), Productivity (Earth), Wants (Metal), Responsibility (Water), Intellect (Wood). Self -> With Ability -> Generate Wealth -> Manage Wealth Responsibly -> Continuous Self Improvement-> Generative Cycle is complete.

The concept varies from what most people have in mind which is “More Wealth Luck = Good Destiny”, the bigger the $ sign the better. There is no doubt about the importance of money here but to have a bigger $ sign means some other element will be compromised because the number of elements in a chart is finite. The other reason is because “Wealth” Luck also signifies “Wants”. What Diagram 2 signifies is if there is no “Productivity” element because it is given to double the amount of “Want” element. This will throw the chart off balance.

The result will be:

1. There is no “Ability” to continuously generate “Wealth”.
2. “Self” will keep “wanting” or in BA ZI concept “attack” the “Wealth” (refer to the cycle of destruction in the BA ZI article) without earth to facilitate the generative cycle and exhaust itself and “Wealth” in the long run to a point that it may eventually diminish.

There is a BA ZI theory to this kind of BA ZI configuration which is “More Wealth will Weaken Self”.

The above is just an example to show the importance of a balanced chart and it is not necessary that a bigger $ sign means it will be a Good Destiny. Having a bigger $ sign is also not always bad (it is not always the Productivity element that gets removed like in the example). Whether it will be good (rich) or bad (bad for self) is dependent on an individual’s BA ZI configuration.

Not everyone is born with or needs a big $ sign to have a Good Destiny. Everyone’s Destiny Configuration, Environment and Choices is different. Importantly is to know yours, strike a balance and turn it into a Good Destiny.

在中华易学中，好命运的本质就是平衡和圆满。以八字为例，一个好命运需有平衡的阴阳和五行数量。图示一是火命人五行平衡的八字表达，代表了自我 (火), 生产力 (土), 欲望 (金), 控制 (水), 智慧 (木)。图示一表示平衡于：

自我 -> 拥有能力 -> 创造财富 -> 负责任地管理财富 -> 不断提升自我-> 生产循环圆满。

这个概念与大多数人所想的“多点财运 = 好命运”，$ 符号越大越好”的观念不同。这里并不否认金钱的重要性，但是要拥有更大的 $ 符号，就意味着其他元素的妥协因为元素数量是固定的。其它原因是“财运”也代表“欲旺”。图示二表示的是，例如没”生产力”元素而给了”欲望”元素双倍。这使命盘失去平衡。

结果将会是：

1. 没”能力”，无法生产”财富”。
2. “欲望”不断，”自我”将“攻击”“财富” (请参考八字文章中的相克循环) 因为土不在协助相生遁环，并在长期中耗尽自身和财富，可能最终衰减。

八字理论对于这种组合，称为“财多身弱”。

以上只是一个示例，旨在说明平衡的八字的重要和 $ 符号更大并不总是意味着好的命运。拥有大 $ 符号也并非总是坏事（并非被减少的一定是生产力元素)。是好(富有)还是坏(对自己不利)取决于自身整体八字配置。

并不是每个人出生就有或需要大量的 $ 符号才能拥有良好的命运。 每个人的命运配置、环境和选择都不同。 重要的是了解你的命运, 平衡它，并将其转化为好的命运。
