Hello Everyone 大家好
I am Joe Ong
ONG FENG SHUI – ‘ONG’ comes from my surname and also means flourishing in TEOCHEW. I include ‘FENG SHUI’ in our name because it’s a metaphysic term familiar to many. The word ‘王’ in the naming dictionary signifies connection between Heaven, Earth, and Man.
I founded ONG FENG SHUI with these Vision, Mission, and set of Core Values:

I began my FENG SHUI Studies more than a decade ago after a tour of China. I was impressed by their monuments because we did not have many architecture of their age in Singapore. The Forbidden City’s entrance alignment to the North-South Central Axis (Zi Wu Xian), among other observations which were explained as FENG SHUI design caught my interest. It was not just out of curiosity but a sense of excitement in discovering a prowess, because FENG SHUI must be extraordinary to have an influence over their important monuments.
Before these, I have always believed geomancy, fortune-telling were folklore and superstition. It occurred to me then there might be some truth in FENG SHUI, given that it has existed for thousands of years and used by supreme rulers of their time. I also began to realise superstition can also mean taking common beliefs as facts, and we take for granted it is superstition because others said so without ourselves finding out more. From then, Chinese Metaphysics became my passion because I wanted to find out more.
Over the past decade, I have studied and practised not only Feng Shui but also various methods of destiny analysis and divination under the guidance of several esteemed masters across Asia. Through these experiences, I have come to understand that Chinese Metaphysics is not merely an art, philosophy, or cultural tradition, but also a systematic study of cosmic energy movement through Time (Heaven), Space (Earth), and its influence on Us (Man).
It is a pity that these wisdom left for us by our predecessors receive much skepticism even among ourselves. Many people shun it because they perceive it as lacking practicality, irrelevant or obsolete in modern times. Some associate it with religion, the occult, or as dealing with abstract and complex ideas.
In the Articles section of ONG FENG SHUI, I attempt to interprete Chinese Metaphysics into the simplest form and establish connections with modern-day concepts. My hope is that through better understanding, more people will become interested, learn and apply them in their daily lives. With greater interest and increased utilisation, the knowledge will enhance and advance and one day Destiny Analysis, FENG SHUI, and even Divinations will receive the same recognition as Chinese Medicine.
